BEMVS has an ultrasound machine with 3 probes, this allows for imaging of tendons, the chest, abdomen etc as well as examinations per rectum (follicle scans, pregnancy diagnosis etc). The ultrasound machine is always in the car and available for use at a moments notice.
Mare follicle scans and pregnancy diagnosis require the use of safe horse crush – this can either be supplied by the client or the portable crush can be used.
